GA Faculty - Studio Faculty
No stranger to performing or teaching, Nick is thrilled to be joining the Graham Academy team as a studio faculty member. A Corner Brook native, Nick has been entertaining audiences with solo music shows, folk and rock bands, and theater for nearly two decades. Having taught private and ensemble lessons for many years, Nick brings his passion for unique song interpretation and genre-hopping to everything he does. Whether delivering power-house vocal lines or sweet storyteller tunes, he always aims to serve the song.
A talented multi-instrumentalist, Nick prides himself on teaching a combination of practical skills and music theory that will get students playing quickly while understanding both what they are doing and how to continue to improve.
Recently, Nick has worked as Musical Director of the Grand Bank Regional Theatre Festival, acting, singing, playing, and arranging their entire season, as well as writing The Indie Folk Variety Show, which ran all summer. He has also produced and performed numerous shows at the RAC, including his annual ‘A Very Hamlyn Christmas’ as well as tributes for artists such as John Prine, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Hank Williams, and Ron Hynes, just to name a few. He has also portrayed Roger in Rent, Galileo Figaro in Queen’s We Will Rock You, Will in American Idiot (OBP), and Jacey Squires in Camber Art’s Music Man.
Nick will be offering lessons to students of all ages and skill levels in acoustic and electric guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin, and self-accompaniment lessons for vocalists who play any instrument.
