Alison Clarke

Alison Clarke, from Burin, Newfoundland, holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree with a French minor and a Bachelor of Music Degree (Honours) with a major in Piano Performance from Memorial University. She studied piano with Dr. Maureen Volk and Dr. Kristina Szutor. During her time at MUN, she completed the Kittiwake Dance Theatre Collaborative Piano Workshop, where she refined her skills in providing live piano accompaniment for dance classes. Recognized for her musical accomplishments, Alison was awarded the University Medal for Academic Excellence in Music Education (2021), the Heather Macdonald Music Education Intern Award (2020), and the Roger Skinner/Music NL Memorial Award in Music (2017), among other accolades.

 

Alison strives to be a well-rounded musician by being involved in the local music community. She enjoys collaborating with vocalists and instrumentalists. In Fall of 2021, she was music director for the Off-Broadway Players production of Tick, Tick…BOOM!. Some of her previous roles include Piano Ensemble Director and Teaching Assistant with PlayPianoNL and Private Piano teacher at her home studio. Alison is so excited to teach piano lessons with Graham Academy!
