GA Faculty - Interactive Arts

Max Pittman is in his final year at Corner Brook Regional High and sixth year being involved with Graham Academy both as a student, and in more recent years, a teacher. He has been involved with the Virtual Corner Brook project as well as the Interactive Arts program since its commencement in 2020 and is so excited to continue this year.

Max has gained experience as a teacher through many outlets like Graham Academy, Dance Studio West and Marble Mountain. Being both a teacher’s assistant for many years and more recently a teacher himself at Graham Academy he is no stranger to this role with our programs. Having also become involved in Dance Studio West’s teacher assistant program he has learned techniques and skills for all age groups and learning styles. Outside of the arts Max enjoyed his role as a teacher at the Marble Mountain Ski Program where he attended a course on how to teach effectively and adaptively.

Being involved in the virtual universe is also no stranger to Max. For many years throughout his youth he was fascinated with game mechanics, coding and the world of Minecraft. He has attended two Minecraft Conventions and learned all about the digital world. Max also had the opportunity to work with Mira Buckle on a project educating youth on how to be a good digital citizen which involved informing students on the safety involved with being online in fun and interesting ways.
