Musical Theatre

The Graham Academy is pleased to offer a wide variety of musical theatre programs, designed to suit every age groups’ needs as they develop. We are also working to ensure that every student can find ways to be involved in learning through the arts.

Starlights

These classes are specially tailored to suit our youngest shining stars as they grow. This program gently introduces our tiniest people to the various building blocks of musical theatre through movement, acting, play, and music. Sessions will encourage cooperation, creativity, and confidence building, as we create stories through acting, movement, and music - all through lots of PLAY. Play is a key element in providing an enriching arts and learning environment for these students.

Our hope is that through this program, students will foster a love for musical theatre, as well as a respect and appreciation for exploring and performing within a comfortable setting.

Participants will navigate through a custom Minecraft map created with digital elevation data and a street map superimposed on the game world. Throughout the course of this ongoing activity, we will build our favorite civic buildings and locations, creating a fun and active online community. We also hold online meet-ups, summer camps, and other educational activities through Graham Academy’s Interactive Arts Program using Virtual Corner Brook as the backdrop.

Digital Literacy Through Gaming

Interactive Arts I will inspire young learners to develop their curiosity for interactive systems through video games.
